Batman: Arkham Asylum Bafta Awards

Batman: Arkham Asylum the great game that sees Batman pit his wits against foes of old in the setting of an Asylum has beat some stiff competition to land the coveted title of best game at the Bafta 2010 awards.

Batman: Arkham Asylum, a British developed game beat off competition from huge games such as Uncharted 2: Among Thieves to land the prestigious title of best game although Uncharted 2: Among Thieves did manage to win four Baftas in other categories.

If winning best game at the Bafta 2010 awards was not enough, Batman: Arkham Asylum also won the Bafta award for Gameplay giving this massive game the credit it deserves.

Based on the DC comic series the Batman: Arkham Asylum game is an action adventure game. The game was created by Rocksteady Studios who are based in London and released on the Playstation 3, PC and Xbox 360 in late August 2009.

The Baftas (short for British Academy of Film and Television Arts) have been recognizing the gaming industry with awards since 1998 with its own separate event starting in 2004. Currently there are fourteen categories in which the gaming industry can win Bafta awards and it is seen as the pinnacle of the gaming award season.
