Asus Eee Pad Unveiled

Monday, 31 May 2010
We have seen the launch of the Apple Ipad but now its Asus turn to unveil its version to compete against Apple and the new Asus is called the Asus Eee Pad (don’t ask us why it has got so many Eee’s). The Asus EP121 Eee Pad looks sleek in design and has all the gadgetry to really help it take some of the market share, so what does it boast?

The Asus Eee Pad boasts a twelve inch screen, a dual-core CULV Intel CPU and is able to run Windows 7! This little beauty also boasts the ability to support Adobe Flash, something Apple did not want from their version.

Taking things a step further the Asus Eee Pad also has USB slots, HDMI slots and an SD slot; it also has standard connections and a docking connection. Interestingly when docking it sits in the landscape position rather than the portrait position of the Apple version.

So with a sleek design, robust unit, software and hardware flexibility as well as having a high power unit under its proverbial bonnet the Asus Eee Pad looks like a winner.

Currently pricing is restricted to the US market as it will be a while before it is delivered to us British folk, one thing is for sure is that when it does finally make it across the pond it will certainly give its competitors a run for their money and we expect many people to be very happy with the Asus Eee Pad.
