The founder of Facebook, Mark Zuckerberg has recently announced that Facebook had "Missed the mark" when it came to privacy and a feature in the Washington Post newspaper said that things will change with a change to privacy options on the site.
It is believed this move was driven by the fact that thousands of users threatened to leave the site at the end of the move as they felt that Facebook was not doing enough to protect their privacy.
It seems that from the grass roots general user right up to the US civil liberties advocates and European Union data protection officials there has been a view that the privacy changes made to Facebook have not been acceptable.
Facebook's founder Mark Zuckerberg did say that: "Sometimes we move too fast - and after listening to recent concerns, we're responding," and went further to say "Simply put, many of you thought our controls were too complex. Our intention was to give you lots of granular controls; but that may not have been what many of you wanted. We just missed the mark."
Facebook really hopes that its latest privacy changes will change the mood of all those from all walks of life who think the site has not been doing enough, only time will tell if these changes are enough!
